Background: Genital stage and testicular volume examination and assessment are essential for assessment of growth puberty in boys. There is paucity of Indian data for penile and testicular parameters particularly in pubertal years. Aim: The aim of this study is to present normative data for penile length, testicular volume, and testicular length from birth to 18 years in boys from western Maharashtra and to correlate these parameters with sexual maturity staging SMR Tanner staging.
Background and objectives: The normal length of penis in preterm and term neonates is different among different nations, and is affected by various factors. The present study aimed to determine stretched penile length SPL values and cutoff level of micropenis in term and preterm Iranian neonates, for the first time. Materials and methods: All male neonates born in two general hospitals of Tehran Akbarabadi, and Rasoul hospitalscenter of Iran, with gestational age of 28—42 weeks were included and their SPL and penile circumference PC were examined on the first 3 days after birth by the same physician.
Women recalled model size accurately using this method, although they made more errors with respect to penis length than circumference. These first estimates of erect penis size preferences using 3D models suggest women accurately recall size and prefer penises only slightly larger than average. Genital size is a crucial index for the assessment of male sexual development, as abnormal penile or testicular size may be the earliest visible clinical manifestation of some diseases. However, there is a lack of data regarding penile and testicular size measurements for Chinese boys at all stages of childhood and puberty. This cross-sectional study aimed to develop appropriate growth curves and charts for male external genitalia among children and adolescents aged 0—17 years in Chongqing, China. A total of boys were enrolled in the present study.
