Techcrunch covered an interesting story today about a newly launched iTunes for porn. Back in June of last year, I wrote about it being tough times for pornographers following a New York Times article which highlighted the difficulties facing the pornography industry. Music companies have been facing the same piracy issues that the porn industry faces.

It happens from time to time: What seems like an innocuous Google image search somehow turns into a NSFW Internet escapade, with X-rated photos that seem to load infinitely as one scrolls through the results. These types of searches are exactly what it seems Google is trying to prevent with its recent porn eradication policywhich was first announced in March. But, as Motherboard writer Brian Merchant discovered by chance recently, it also seems that seemingly "clean" search terms and associated user complaints over results might be exactly how Google is getting rid of all the porn.

These are all issues that have arisen alongside the internet, which has made porn both more available and affordable than ever, and opened the physical and mental pathways to ever more degrading, extreme content. After all, the average age of first exposure is years oldand getting younger all the time. That was the problem Adam Savage struggled with.
